As always, it is our goal to share the stories of the many talented wedding vendors in the Stillwater area. Below is an interview with Caleb Jones an OSU student and freelance videographer.

Tell us a little about how you got started with wedding videography.

I fell in love with videography by chance and chance alone. I was randomly placed in broadcast journalism class in high school because I needed an elective and I absolutely fell in love with video production. I wasn’t very good at first, but I soon started becoming better and better. Before long, my friends and family took notice and hired me for little gigs here and there. In 2012, two close family friends asked me to film their weddings and I absolutely fell in love with it.

What is your favorite party of wedding videography?

My favorite part of wedding videography is the reactions and compliments I get from couples. I can always tell they are a little nervous because of my age but my favorite part is the pure happiness I see across their faces when I have them watch the video. Weddings are the most important day of people’s lives and I have the privilege of capturing those special moments that they might not remember all the small details.

What is your videography style?

My wedding videography style is very cinematic. I offer wedding films that tell a love story about the couple and about their wedding day. I try and get the most creative and beautiful shots possible.

What types of services do you provide?

Besides videography, I offer full-blown advertising services. I can do website design, copywriting, graphic design, social media, photography and videography. I enjoy the challenge of branding services and maintaining consistency across multiple media platforms. I have been a freelance multimedia artist for six years now.

Other than weddings, what types of events do you cater to?

I am not limited to wedding videography at all. Besides weddings, I film just about anything! I film commercials and promotional videos, music videos, drone videos, PSAs, sports videos, political campaigns and everything in between. If you have a vision for a video, I will make it happen.

Have you had any particularly interesting/exciting shoots?

Although I am just 21 years old, I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of some exciting shoots. Last summer, I traveled to Peru with my professor to film a documentary for two weeks and I filmed a TV commercial for Bushnell Trail Cameras. I have also been a camera operator for ESPN and FOX Sports. My career has been packed with fun and adventure and I can’t wait to see where videography takes me.
